 Entertainers showcase their talents on a Wednesday night! A couple of weeks ago I went out to see what was buzzing on a Wednesday night here in 'Funky Nassau'. Well you know, quarantine is somewhat lifted, and the economy is growing, sorta, kinda? In any event it's a good time to network as there is seems to be a surge of entertainment and activity. I have noticed interestingly enough that no matter where I am in the world, Wednesday nights  tend to be reserved for talent showcases and open mic's. A night seasoned artists, and new talent come together to display their creations. I guess as an artist I too felt the same urge. After seeing a number of flyers and some solid performance clips circulating on social media, I made my way to K.C.L Entertainment's spoken word and poetry night at Studio Cafe West Bay St. This was my first stop as to allow Superstar Wednesday's, the later event to build steam, while tuning into some artistic expression. (OPM COMMUNICATIONS) Social Media came alive with pictures of Bahamians landing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the World Expo International Exhibition. Prime Minister Brave Davis was accompanied by a cultural delegation in support of The Bahamian Pavilion on display. Not only is he one of the Bahamas' best performing artists, he has helped us as a videographer, editor, and graphic artist!!!

  242 Artist Network gives awards at the recent boxing day event! Artjoy Video Premier and roots market’. Held on December 26th 2021 at the Edmund Moxey Youth & Community Centre on Baillou hill Road from 4-8pm; the Artist honoured for their contributions include Landlord for ‘Top Marketing Support’, Ju Byron for ‘Pro Team Production’, and Lyric of Grace Records for ‘Excellence in Artistry’.      Additional highlights included art and products by the Roots Market vendors. Bahamian entrepreneurs presenting their businesses featured Visual Art by Edahlia, Organic Honey by Invictus Trading Company and Healthy Food and Beverages by Bobotime Enterprise. There were also guest performances by reggae sensation Bobo Ike, and Hip Hop artists Bey Chaino, Ju Byron, & Vless; artists who have been making a name for themselves on the Bahamian music scene.    The boxing day event was the official premier of the video performance concert series.
